Hakuba Valley Pass 2026-27: Prices, Rules and When It Pays
Category: Ski Resorts · Start here: Hakuba Ski Resorts: Hakuba Valley's 10 Resorts Compared (2026-27)
The 2026-27 Hakuba Valley Pass (All-Mountain Day Pass) costs ¥11,100 for one adult day and ¥6,400 for a child aged 6–12, tax included. It covers all 10 Hakuba Valley resorts and the Hakuba Valley Shuttle Bus (“the shuttle” in this guide) on the days you ski. Online sales are scheduled to start around November 2026.
It is not always the cheapest choice. Hakuba Valley counts everyone aged 13 and over as an adult, while Happo-One sells child tickets up to age 17. A family that stays at one resort can pay noticeably less with that resort’s own tickets.

Source: Hakuba Valley Day Pass, prices include consumption tax. Under 6 ski free (under 3 at Jigatake Snow Resort and at Kashimayari Snow Resort’s Family Park only).
Longer passes bring the adult daily price down only a little, assuming you use every day: ¥10,680 a day on the 5-day pass and ¥10,610 on the 10-day pass, against ¥11,100 for a single day.
Multi-day passes let you spread your ski days over a longer window. A 5-day pass can be used over 10 calendar days, so a rest day costs nothing as long as you ride neither a lift nor the shuttle; the 10-day window keeps running either way.
What the pass covers, and what it doesn’t
- All 10 resorts: Jigatake, Kashimayari, Sanosaka, Goryu, Hakuba47, Happo-One, Iwatake, Tsugaike, Norikura Onsen and Cortina. You can ski several in one day.
- The shuttle is free on the days you ski or snowboard.
- Night skiing and the night shuttle bus are not included.
- No deposit is charged on the valley pass. Single-resort tickets at Goryu, Hakuba47 and Kashimayari carry a ¥500 deposit, refunded when you return the card.
At Jigatake, the pass cannot be redeemed or reloaded. Redeem it at another resort first. At the Jigatake ticket office, staff hold your valley pass and give you a Jigatake ticket for the day.
How the validity days are counted
The count starts with your first lift or shuttle ride, not when you buy. Riding only the shuttle, without skiing, still uses one full day of the pass. Days left over when the window closes are lost and cannot be refunded or carried over. Once all your days are used, the pass expires and no longer covers the shuttle, even if the window has time left.
Example: a 5-day pass first used on 10 January is valid through 19 January (10 days including the first day); you can ski any 5 days within that window. Counting the first day as day 1 is Hakuba Land’s reading of “valid for 10 days from the first day of use”; Hakuba Valley does not give a worked example.
If you reload a card online, start at a lift gate. Hakuba Valley says the free shuttle works only after a reloaded card has passed a lift gate, and a new online purchase must be redeemed first. Full buses cannot take more passengers, and Hakuba Valley expects late-afternoon services, especially the last bus, to be crowded (shuttle page).
Valley pass or single-resort ticket? Compare by age
| Skier’s age | Hakuba Valley 1-day pass (¥) | Happo-One 1-day, peak, ticket window (¥) | ABLE Hakuba GORYU & Hakuba47 1-day, ticket window, incl. deposit (¥) | ABLE Hakuba GORYU & Hakuba47, net after card return (¥) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 6–12 | 6,400 | 4,900 | 4,500 | 4,000 |
| 13–17 | 11,100 | 4,900 | 6,500 | 6,000 |
| 18–22 | 11,100 | 9,800* | 6,500 | 6,000 |
| 23–64 | 11,100 | 9,800 | 10,000 | 9,500 |
| 65–79 | 11,100 | 9,500 | 9,500 | 9,000 |
Sources: Hakuba Valley; Happo-One peak season 19 Dec 2026 – 22 Mar 2027 (child 6–17, including high-school students graduating in 2027; junior-high and high-school students must show a valid student ID; senior 65+ at ticket windows only, ID required); ABLE Hakuba GORYU & Hakuba47 (senior band 65–79; youth 13–22 at windows only with photo ID; window prices include a ¥500 IC-card deposit, refunded when you return the card).
*High-school students graduating in 2027 pay Happo-One’s child price of ¥4,900, so some 18-year-olds qualify.
On net prices, a 15-year-old pays ¥6,000 a day at ABLE Hakuba GORYU & Hakuba47 after returning the card, ¥5,100 less than the valley pass.
Hakuba Land compared the three price lists for a family of four: two adults aged 23–64 and children aged 15 and 10, skiing five days at Happo-One in peak season. Five-day valley passes cost ¥189,900 (the 15-year-old pays the adult rate). Happo-One’s 1-day tickets cost ¥147,000, which is ¥42,900 less.
Assumptions: three adult and one child valley 5-day passes, against five Happo-One ticket-window 1-day tickets per person; all five days between 19 December and 22 March and within the valley pass’s 10-day window; a valid student ID for the 15-year-old; no online or early-bird discounts; lift tickets only, transport excluded.
Moving between resorts does not make the valley pass cheaper by itself. It may be worth the extra cost when you want different resorts on different days, or several in one day, and want the shuttle included; otherwise compare each resort’s own tickets plus your transport.
Outside peak season the gap is wider: Happo-One’s window 1-day price is ¥6,400 for adults, ¥3,200 for children and ¥6,000 for seniors from 1 to 18 December 2026 and from 23 March to 5 May 2027, while the valley pass stays at ¥11,100 for adults and ¥6,400 for children. How to buy and collect the pass
Status on 29 October 2026: the 2026-27 day pass is not yet on sale online. Hakuba Valley says it is scheduled to go on sale around November via the official webshop.
- Create an account on the Hakuba Valley website. Payment is by Visa or Mastercard credit card only.
- Buy the pass. You receive a QR code and a pickup code by email.
- At the resort, show the codes at a ticket window or scan the QR code at a SKIOSK machine to get your IC card. Ticket offices and lift gates take about 30 minutes to register a purchase, so do not buy at the last minute.
- Next time, reload the same card online with the 23-digit number starting with 01, and go straight to the lift gate. Soft cards issued by vending machines in 2019-20 cannot be reloaded.
Online tickets cannot be cancelled or refunded. Resort early-bird deals run on their own dates: Happo-One lists early-bird tickets until 30 November, and Goryu says its Goryu-Hakuba47 advance ticket is 25% below the window price and sold until 15 December.
Season pass and Epic Pass
Note: Early Bird season-pass sales run only until 29 October 2026 (check the official page for the cut-off time). From 30 October 2026 to 2 February 2027, the regular price applies: ¥188,900 for adults and youth, ¥99,600 for children.
| Season pass, 2026-27 | Sales period | Adult 19+ and youth 13–18 (¥) | Child 6–12 (¥) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Early Bird (open to all), sales close 29 Oct 2026 | 14 Jul – 29 Oct 2026 | 158,900 | 83,600 |
| Regular | 30 Oct 2026 – 2 Feb 2027 | 188,900 | 99,600 |
Source: Hakuba Valley Season Pass. In these two price columns, youth (13–18) pay the adult price.
Two Japan-resident tiers have also ended. Repeat Customer, limited to 2025-26 season-pass purchasers, cost adult ¥110,000, youth ¥88,000 and child ¥58,200 (14 July – 6 August 2026). Domestic Residents Early Bird cost adult ¥121,700, youth ¥97,360 and child ¥64,200 (14 July – 27 August 2026). Both required residence in Japan at the time of purchase.
The season pass runs from the scheduled December opening to around early May 2027. At the regular adult price of ¥188,900, it costs less than adult 1-day passes at ¥11,100 only from the 18th ski day: 17 days cost ¥188,700 and 18 days ¥199,800. This assumes adult 1-day passes only and ignores multi-day per-day rates, single-resort tickets and discounts.
At Jigatake, season-pass holders exchange the pass for a Jigatake day pass at the Ticket Center on each day they ski there. The shuttle is free on the days you use the resorts. Passholders also get 50% off 1-day tickets at resorts owned and operated by Vail Resorts.
Holders of a 2026-27 Epic Pass, Epic Local Pass, 2026 Epic Australia Pass or another listed Epic product may receive one complimentary 5-day ticket in the 2026-27 season, with no blackout dates. Unlike the paid 5-day pass, it runs for 5 consecutive days. Show your Epic Pass at a designated ticket window; you may be asked for photo ID (Epic Pass at Hakuba Valley).
Mistakes to avoid
- Taking the shuttle to “look around” on arrival day: it counts as a pass day.
- Buying adult valley passes for teenagers who will ski only Happo-One, where ages 6–17, plus high-school students graduating in 2027, pay the child price. Junior-high and high-school students must show a valid student ID.
- Buying a long pass with too few spare days. Check the window in the price table.
- Paying with a card other than Visa or Mastercard online.
- Relying on last season’s shuttle timetable. On 29 October 2026 the shuttle page still showed 2025-26 timetables. On the 2025-26 page, Line V cost ¥800 adult / ¥400 child for riders without a Hakuba Valley day or season pass (online tickets only, no cash); pass holders ride free. The 2026-27 timetable and fares are not yet posted.
- Booking an opening-week trip without checking your resort’s operating dates and open lifts. See the 2026-27 Hakuba opening dates.

What does the Epic Pass give in Hakuba? Holders of listed 2026-27 Epic products may receive one complimentary 5-day ticket, valid for 5 consecutive days with no blackout dates.
Japan-resident season-pass tiers depend on living in Japan at the time of purchase, not on owning property. Hakuba Land, a brand of Gemini株式会社 (a licensed real estate broker), helps with buying land and property in Hakuba; see our guide to buying land in Hakuba.
How we checked: prices and rules were checked against the official Hakuba Valley, Happo-One and ABLE Hakuba GORYU & Hakuba47 pages on 29 October 2026. We will update this guide when the 2026-27 shuttle timetable and online sale are published. Check the official pages again before you buy.
